While it is certainly sad to know that Tom, Casey and Don are no longer with us-- I am grateful for their hard efforts to bring us AT40, so we could all enjoy the same tunes coast to coast. It was always great to hear Casey (and Company) no matter where you (or your family) travelled somewhere during the 1970's or 1980's.

I own all seven seasons of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" on DVD & have seen Don's name in the closing credits-What a sad day in the world of broadcasting!

I'm very surprised to learn he was from the Middle East.
Sad loss, nonetheless.

I'm very surprised to learn he was from the Middle East. Sad loss, nonetheless. Don wasn't actually from the Middle East. He was of Lebanese background, but was a native of the Detroit area. The same was true of Casey. Kerri Kasem, incidentally, posted a salute to Don on her Facebook page, including several pictures one of which was taken when she visited him just last weekend.
