Bill Burkette succumbed to lymphoma on March 2. He was 75. He supplied the baritone vocals to the harmonies of the Vogues. Between 1965 and 1969 the group charted 8 Top 40 hits half of which reached the Top 10. Bill continued with the group until 1983, and went on to become a sales manager for a home improvement company. He rejoined the official version of the Vogues in 2008, and continued to perform until last year. Remembering Bill with the first national hit for the Vogues. The Petula Clark cover would peak at #4 late in 1965. You're The One - VoguesObituary

The Vogues were a great harmony group-I especially liked "Five O'Clock World" (1966) & "Turn Around,Look At Me" (1968).
