Here’s what’s sad. I recognize these names but if I heard them on the radio without giving their names I wouldn’t know who they were. Yet, the fact I know their name and a lot of others do too means they are the next rung down from the one that consists of Seacrest and Duran only.

Not that long ago a host change for a syndicated radio show would be sorta big news. Now it's not really even a blip on anyone's radar.

This show doesn’t seem to be that big a deal anyway. I know it’s on like every CHR station Clearchan...I heart...whatever owns but it isn’t like I or most people could tell you when it airs in their market. I can’t tell you what time or day it airs here. I think it’s on the HAC station 100.7 here too and I don’t know when it airs there either.

I’ve never understood this. If you are running something whether it be by choice or force why don’t you advertise it and tell people where and when they can hear it? “Hey this week join us as host RayRay counts down the 20 biggest hits in the USA and interviews Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheehan, and Taylor Swift.”

Why not? It can’t hurt!

I know I’m preaching to the choir and this wasn’t really the discussion here but when you brought up it not mattering that’s what brought this out.

Actually, a few iHeart CHR stations have dropped the show. XL 1067 doesn't air it anymore. Neither does Z100 in NYC.

In Tampa, FLZ airs it Saturdays from 6am-8am. I'm sure the target audience is totally awake for that. The Hot AC version with Mario Lopez airs on Mix 100.7 Sundays from 7pm-9pm.

Also, I noticed FLZ now airs AT40 on Sundays from 8am-Noon. Mix still airs it from 6-10am, so only two hours overlap now. That is still such a weird arrangement.
