^Barely... there have been extended absences due to his health in recent years... meanwhile he remained at his current home in Texas -- after selling a home outside of, and a penthouse in, NY, and while still trying to unload his former charitable ranch in New Mexico -- while the rest of the crew carried on in NY.

^Barely... there have been extended absences due to his health in recent years... Sounds reminiscent of Casey Kasem from 2009 in his final months of hosting AT20 and AT10. There were rarely guest hosts during his first years as host of AT20 and AT10, until 2009 when there was an abrupt increase in guest hosts because of Casey's health issues.

^ Yes and no...
Casey started the once a month weeks off with a guest host early on in the Westwood One years. Outside of the April-July old school spring ratings book, Casey's pattern was typically 3 or 4 weeks on, 1 week off. This continued with AMFM and then Premiere until 2004, when Casey went from three shows to two. The guest hosted shows went from one a month to just one or two a year until 2008 when Mike Kasem began to host more frequently. Even in Casey's final months on the air, the absences were still fewer than the 1990-2003 time period.
