Thanks to all for this info. I checked out the stream of the show last night, and it was great. No refreshing needed, as skuncle points out. Hope they keep the status quo!

Am listening to WLIX' final hour on air right now.
...and they are gone. I'll miss them.

The WLIX link still works, but now you can hear a static-y country station also with a 94.7 frequency.
ETA: Found it; it's WNSH Nash FM 94.7 ("New York's Country Station" is their slogan).
ETA II: I just went to it again and got "connected to host" so it's now no longer working.

I just discovered this station a couple of months ago--I will miss it if it doesn't retain AT40. I enjoyed the commercial that went, "That thing with Richard Pell." (sp)

Update: 93.3 FM Coram NY - 101.5 The Breeze now has a physical presence in New York City (93.5 HD3). Station is little by little taking the identity of the old WLIX with their updated homepage. 1015thebreeze.com/94.7 FM Ridge NY - Closed. 96.9 FM Manorville NY - Became Classic Hits Real FM last Friday. Real FM covers Eastern Long Island. myrealfm.com/

Thanks for the update. The situation seems really odd to me. They do an 80s format for a month then abruptly switch to a Spanish pop format, but according to their FB page they're transitioning. Also, they're using the logo, 'Sunny' name, and tagline of an independently-owned station in South Dakota. What exactly is the tie-in there, if any? FTR, I love listening to Sunny's music. Tbe hosts can be a little long-winded and discuss things I just couldn't possibly give a d**n about, but I suppose that's part of their charm. Did anyone hear get a chance to hear 94.7 last month? Wondering what the playlist was like.

I believe that 94.7 WLIX & 1580 WLIM are both assisting the transition of what was 101.5 The Breeze to Spanish. WLIM is going to become part of 93.3 The Breeze. WLIX was airing 80's music in July with an occasional PSA & references to the Hamptons with no hosts. www.radiodiscussions.com/showthread.php?711106-WLIX-has-returned-a-80s-StationThe owners of Sunny Radio in SD (John & Heidi) are the morning team on The Breeze.
