Warren "Pete" Moore passed away of unknown causes November 19 at the age of 78. He was the bass voice that backed Smokey Robinson as an original member of the Miracles. Pete was a member from 1955 in the pre-Miracle groups the Five Chimes and the Matadors until he retired from touring in 1978. He appeared at the 1983 Motown 25th Anniversary celebration, and the group's induction into the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in the late 2000s. In 2012, the Miracles were rightfully inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a full 25 years after Smokey Robinson's induction. He also co-wrote a number of Motown classics such as Marvin Gaye's "I'll Be Doggone" and "Ain't That Peculiar", the Temptations "Since I Lost My Baby" and several Miracles hits including "Ooh Baby Baby" and "The Tracks Of My Tears". After Smokey Robinson went solo, he co-wrote this #1 hit for the Miracles in 1975. Love Machine - MiraclesObituary
