Session drummer Pentti "Whitey" Glan passed away November 7 after recently being diagnosed with lung cancer. He was 71. Some of the Finnish drummer's best known work can be found in the grooves of Lou Reed's "Rock And Roll Animals" and Alice Cooper's "Welcome To My Nightmare". He also worked with John Kay on a couple of his solo efforts. In the early 70s while with the group Bush, the band would tour with Steppenwolf and Three Dog Night. One of the songs Pentti co-wrote would become the "B" side to Three Dog Night's monster 45 "Joy To The World". I Can Hear You Calling - Three Dog NightObituary
