Just heard Aerosmith's "Last Child" on the 7/10/76 countdown and I think that a better title would have been "Home Sweet Home".That's what I thought the title was for the longest time. I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday when I heard that song on the countdown.

In listening to the Casey's Top 40 shows from 1991 in order, on this week's corresponding chart is Steelheart with "I'll Never Let You Go".
How many here thought at one time it was titled "Angel Eyes"? Count me in...

One song where I think it was mistitled is the #2 song in this week's 1988 show, Mercedes Boy. The title makes you think that the song is about a nameless guy who owns a Mercedes and is referred to as "Mercedes Boy" However, the lyrics tell a different story.

It recently occurred to me that "Hole Hearted" isn't really that great of a song title. It's not exactly a phrase the average person uses, and spoken aloud you'd think they were saying whole-hearted, which is something else entirely.

I feel like Earth, Wind and Fire's "That's the Way of the World" should have been called "Hearts Afire", but maybe that's because the song was used as the theme song to the sitcom of the same name.

I recall reading somewhere that Leo Sayer's first Top 10 (here in the U.S.) --Long Tall Glasses (I Can Dance), from 1975, came about because Leo couldn't remember the title of the song they were going to record so he told the engineer to write Long Tall Glasses on the session tapes. I suppose the subtitle I Can Dance would've have been the better title--since most people know the song by that title and not Long Tall Glasses (a brief phrase that occurs once in the song).

Here's a couple more from the 60's 1966-The Hollies' "Bus Stop" could have also been titled "Under My Umbrella" 1967-The Cowsills' "The Rain, The Park and Other Things" could have also been titled "I Love The Flower Girl"

I think "All Around The World" by Lisa Stansfield should've been titled "Been Around The World" since she never sings "all" anywhere in the lyrics.

I think "All Around The World" by Lisa Stansfield should've been titled "Been Around The World" since she never sings "all" anywhere in the lyrics. I beg to differ: So open hearted, he never did me wrong I was the one, the weakest one of allBut, she doesn't say it with "Around The World", so, yeah.

Listening to this weeks show I think that "Trampled Under Foot" by Led Zeppelin should have been titled "Talking 'bout Love". By the way I can't believe that the song only reached #38 on AT 40.
