Hey, seminolefan... where is Mama Seminolefan in the Colonel Abrams video? From what time marker to what other time marker? That is so cool that she is in the video! Question... some of the piano notes in the song sound very familiar, like a singer, group or rapper may have sampled some piano in a later tune. Was any of "How Soon We Forget" ever sampled in another song?

Was any of "How Soon We Forget" ever sampled in another song? From 3:13 to 3:17 she appears in the background, second row on the left. And not only is she in the video, she did backup vocals for the song, which is pretty cool too. I'm not sure if any other songs sampled it, it's not showing up anywhere.

Love the band name--a Fred Sanford favorite! Absolutely one of the best song titles ever. Ranks up there with the "B" side of Ike & Tina's "Proud Mary. "Funkier Than A Skeeter's Tweeter" is still a little better.

^And a title that is awfully close to how Casey described Sly's "Family Affair" kicking off the top 50 of the 70s special. Looks like Betty Wright's label was trying to do what many labels do after an artist who had little success the first time around with a hit but then has a big hit with something else. They re-release the earlier hit. Betty Wright had just come off a huge hit with Peter Brown on "Dance With Me" in which she received label credit. Funny part is when Betty tells about how her mom did not want her to play that song at all!
