Usual question, apart from WODC, which normally plays both shows, which stations will likely play which show?

i have a feeling Magic 98 will go with 1978,and i think KOKZ might join them(they seem to have shyed away from early 70s charts alately )

8-26-78 has been played to death on the Iheart channel so I will listen to 72 only.

8-26-78 has been played to death on the Iheart channel so I will listen to 72 only. Not only on iHeart, but here on Premiere as well. As someone said in the 70s thread, this is the fifth time this show has been chosen. I'm with you; I'm skipping that show as well. I'll be listening to the 80s shows next week instead (assuming I can find 1986 running at a convenient time).

WEZG will play both shows(1972-Sat,1978-Sun). KYMG will probably opt for 1978.

Come on! No love for Rick James. This week's 84' show featured "17". Next week's 78' show will feature "You And I", and if we get lucky, "Superfreak" might be an optional extra for next week's 81' show. "Where's Charlay Murphayyy?"

Though maybe they just no longer want to play four hour shows (which means either allotting an extra hour or playing an incomplete show), which isn't an issue for this particular pairing. KOKZ did opt for 1979 (a four hour B show) that week, so maybe they are avoiding the earliest and latest AT40s offered (early 70s and late 80s--last week they picked 1982 over 1987), though I'm not sure if it's really a pattern yet. I think for the 80s they'll select 1981 over 1986, and might have done so even if the designations were reversed (if 1986 were the A).

milwaukeeoldies(WRIT) announced it will air 1978 next Sunday rather than 1981. The station aired 1984 today.

CKOC & CKWW will likely air 1972. This will be CKOC's next-to-last AT40, I think.

Speaking of Rick, "You and I" was KOKZ's Forgotten 45 at 5 yesterday, so I think tomorrow they'll play 8/26/78.

KOKZ is in fact playing 1978, but they skipped the first optional extra, which was actually Casey retrospectively discussing the debut Long Distance Dedication. (KOKZ did play the second such segment.)
