With the Fourth Of July fast approaching,I'm thinking that Premiere will offer up some special programming for both "AT40-The 70's" & "AT40-The 80's"-For the 70's show,I predict a twofer:the very first show from 45 years ago & part five of "The #1 Hits Of The 70's".

Part four aired already? How did I miss that? ? Part Four aired Memorial Day Weekend. They are doing the #1 Hits shows on Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day Weekends like last year.

Ken Martin's WTOJ has already done all of the 70's and 3 parts of the 80's over Memorial Day weekend.

Ken Martin, the producer of the #1 Hits of 70's & 80's will fix and reair the corrected parts 2 & 3 of the 80's. There was an extra segment in part 2. When he will aired them I don't know. My previous post was for the general radio stations except WTOJ when he wanted to be the first to run it as a marathon.

I would bet the farm that in the 70's series, Premiere will re-air the very first AT40 show from July 4, 1970. It's the 45th anniversary (last time they played this show was in 2010--on the 40th). And the next installment of the #1's by Ken Martin (part 5, which runs from October 1976 through August 1978) should be offered as a bonus show. As for the 80's series, I will venture to guess that we will hear a weekly countdown with a special as a B show. If I had to guess at this point, the weekly countdown would be either 7/5/86 or 7/4/87, and the special would be the Top Acts of the 80's So Far from 7/2/83 (last aired in 2011, so the intro, extras, etc. are voiced by Larry Morgan). Of course, I've been wrong more often than right lately...

Here's a possibility for a B show special:"The #1 Hits Of The 80's"-It first aired in 1987-Don't think Premiere has run this one.

I think he meant the 1987 Top 40 Hits of the 80s special, which Premiere has played twice (in 2010 and in 2014, the second time as one of two choices that week.) "#1 Hits of the 80s" is I believe a work in progress from Ken Martin & Co., and should probably start airing next year after the similar set of 70s shows is complete.

Well WTH? That blows! Keep an eye here. Ken Martin's station will likely run a marathon in the future for these number one shows along with a few other stations who will run part 5 over July 4th weekend.

I wonder if WPNC Magic 95.9 out of Plymouth NC will air anything? I still liked between Christmas & New Years last year where they were nothing but AT40 70's & 80's shows 24/7 for over a week.
