In 1975, Jessi Colter had a country-pop crossover hit, "I'm Not Lisa". At the beginning of the song, the first words are "I'm Not Lisa, my name is Julie". Well, everytime I hear that song, I say to myself, "Well, your name isn't Julie either, It's Jessi". I was listening to the American Top 40 show from May 31, 1975 over the weekend and Casey did a story about the Jessi Colter name. He said that Jessi Colter chose that name from a member of Jesse James' gang. I was reading Jessi's en.wikipedia page and she chose that name to honor her great-grandfather, Jesse Colter. By the way, Jessi's real name is Miriam Johnson.

Tanya Tucker covered "I'm Not Lisa" on her 1975 album "Tanya". She changed the line to "I'm not Lisa, my name is Tanya".
