Noticed that 'Complicated' by Carolyn Johnson was edited. I wonder if it was WW1's fault. Wouldn't put it past 'em.

If we stop listenin' to ACC rewind, then WW1 will get the message. We WANT Bob's signoff, and the closin' credits. Actually if you stop listenin’, those scallywags at WW1 may just cancel the darn show. No listeners will give them the message that listeners aren’t interested in the product, not that one listener on a radio message board is mad they cut off the darn closin’ credits!

Personally, they are at least keeping the ACC extras/archives, ACC mailbag in the later years, and the calendar salute nearly every week, more regularly by April 1996.
Anyway, at least the airchecks know how to keep all themes intact, like this one just posted from April 30, 1988. They were just beginning to get the 80s archives going at the end of each hour that came in by March 1988 and lasting through May 1991.

(As ABC — the distributor at the time — or whomever was producing the show was still known to edit/shorten songs for time in 2001). Brian

And especially when songs were on their way down in the later years of the Bob Kingsley era (even on CT40 today), they usually edit and shorten the songs. KCCS was the distributor (and has been since 1995), but was still associated with ABC Radio (now WW1/Cumulus Media today) at the time.

Once in a while they will play the album cut if necessary.
Anyway, this week they are rewinding back to November 1, 1997 as November kicks in. Notice the amount of women on the chart back then compared to today's standard...

I thought that, with the turn of the month, WW1 would restore the closing credits, and Bob's signoff. Hasn't happened yet.

Well, prior to the website adjustment this year, the replays on the site were like an original broadcast minus the commercials/scoped ads that would allow the theme to run through.
At least the recent aircheck from November 24, 2001 keeps everything in other than song trimming, might be possible that it could be run again rewind wise but highly unlikely this year.
Meanwhile, this week the rewind show goes back to November 7, 1998.

Time for them to go back to November 20, 1993 this weekend. Looks like it will be the final regular 1993 show this year (we'll see what happens on what year they may plan to do year-end if need be).

Graig, I'd sure like to know, who to talk to at WW1, for editing off Bob's signoff, and the closing credits. Clearly, the person doesn't care about what we wanna hear!

Dave, I know this may shock and amaze you, but someone out there **does** know what most people want to hear. And this is why the closin' credits have been taken out, to get back to the music faster. You and I may want to hear them. But the average listener does not.

Well, Brett, thankfully, Graig, leaves the signoff, and credits in, when he gives us the capsule countdowns.

Yeah, and some will contain the shows that have aired on the rewind show before, minus the first hour which I am still waiting for.
Anyway, they are rewinding back to November 23, 1991 this week (NASH Icon stations usually keep the regular shows even though some holiday music is thrown in by this time with the regular music). Little did they know that their other show AT40 would change charts next week...

Graig, I honestly don't know the problem that Westwood 1 has, for not giving us all 4 hours of ACC.
