Great! This is definitely a convenient time. As I recall, when Premiere ran this show back in 2013, WODC ran this one in the morning and, since my church choir had to sing at the early service, I didn't get around to hearing this one. Plus, I had to work that Saturday, so listening to the show on whatever stations aired the show before 6:00 was out of the question. This time, barring Internet trouble or a power outage, I should be able to finally hear that elusive first hour.

I am grateful to learn about WODC. I am glad they are dedicated to playing both shows and the 4 hour shows when applicable!

I will have WODC on since KOKZ played the complete show of April 3, 1971 (chart date April 10, 1971) with all the OE'S.

Thanks all for the kind comments. I'm in a unique position of being a fan and being allowed to "manage" the airings of the show. There are a couple of program directors I know of that are fans who do this as well. Michael Cross of KOKZ and a guy last name Benjamin whose station played an AT40 marathon that I could not take my ears off of last year. Just keep your fingers "Michael-Crossed" that this support from my superiors continues. It seems to be going very well. Four years as of last week. Thanks again!

Mike, Just know that you are very much appreciated! Even though I am in California I seem to get the cleanest recordings from WODC using Iheart on Firefox so you are my go to station for the 70's broadcasts. I just discovered these rebroadcasts about a year ago and I'm sure many others are discovering them all the time so keep it going. Thanks Again!

Another SUPERB sound quality broadcast last week for 05/26/1973. Mike, Is there a reason that you know of why yours seem to be so good? Is it just because of Iheart or is it better in other ways because it sure seems like it's better quality than most other stations also broadcasting on Iheart.

retroguy, thank you! I don't have much knowledge about the technical side and the sound, but I can tell you that our engineering staff, which is headed by Greg Savoldi is top-notch, and I know they are directly responsible for whatever is making it sound so great. We certainly appreciate the care and detail they put into their work. iHeartRadio is a cool-sounding app, and I listen to the American Top 40 Classic channel a lot. The sound is superb! I listened to WODC's AT40 "Traithlon" broadcast on the iHeartRadio stream Monday and it was a great sound as well. I will pass along your appreciation and seek from them a more technically-sound answer for you! Thanks again!

I notice different stations on iheart have different sound quality. It seems like the larger market stations will often have better sound, as do the generic stations (My 80s, Cool Oldies, etc)
Another reason I choose WODC or WMJI for the 70s show and WQSR for the 80s, they have the top tier sound.

Thanks for the tip on those other 2 stations! I was still trying to figure out which ones were best and wishing WODC did the 80's also. Is there any others that would rank up there with these three?

For the 70s, if you are looking for a Saturday morning option instead of a Sunday, WMVL is good from 7a-10a. It's not IHeart, but the sound is great.
Sunday mornings 9-Noon you get great sound from WWSW as well.
As for the 80s, I'm sure there are more but I always do WQSR, which is Sunday nights at 8.

Brett--does WMJI play the optional extras? Last I knew they did not, but I agree that they're sound is very good. FYI--KOKZ appears to have upgraded their stream. They used to sound a little too compressed, but they sound terrific now...
