Jackie Trent passed away on March 21. Her only single to chart in the US "If You Love Me, Really Love Me" bubbled under peaking at #106. Jackie Trent did top the UK charts in 1965 with "Where Are You Now (My Love)". For many years, she collaborated with and was married to Tony Hatch who produced Petula Clark. Her hit "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love" was allegedly written about the Hatch/Trent affair. After their divorce she remarried and was living in Spain at the time of her passing. Worldwide, her most recognizable song was the theme to an Australian soap opera that still is televised today after over 7,000 episodes. The series launched the career of Kylie Minogue among others. She wrote the lyrics and Tony Hatch composed the melody.
