Released in early-July 2006, here's the song "We Are Your Friends" which is credited to Justice vs. Simian.
In actuality, it was a remix of British rock band Simian's "Never Be Alone" from 2002, done by French EDM duo Justice.
The remix was a hit in Britain, reaching #20 in mid-July.

Released as a single in early July 2013, "Welcome to the Jungle" (no relation to the Guns N' Roses hit) was by Alvaro (Dutch DJ/producer) and Mercer (French DJ) featuring Lil Jon.

Released about a week apart in July 2014 are two EDM songs:
From July 8 came the album #NEWGOREORDER by Borgore from Israel, and here is the title track featuring spoken word from actor Malcolm McDowell.
And from the EP Bullets Vol 3 released on July 14 comes the song "In and Out" by Mark Knight.

At #1 on the July 10, 2015 British singles chart was "House Every Weekend", the first single by British DJ/producer David Zowie, and as of 2023 his only single on the British chart.

Released as a single this week in 2015, "Wake Up" was by Dutch DJ/house music producer Jay Hardway.
Also released that week was "Renegade Mastah" by HI-LO, an alias for another Dutch house producer, Oliver Heldens.

Originally recorded by The Four Lads in 1953 and later remade by acts such as They Might Be Giants, "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" was covered by EDM duo Milan and Phoenix, with their version being released in July 2012.
Also released that month was the song "Higher Ground" by another duo, TNGHT, although this song was not a cover of same-named songs by Stevie Wonder or UB40.

Two very different rock songs were on Billboard's pop charts this week in 2002.
First, on the Hot 100, Jack Johnson was holding at #75 in his second week on the chart with "Flake"; the song reached #73 two weeks later.
Then on the Bubbling Under chart, a pre-Breaking Bad Aaron Paul appears in the video for Korn's "Thoughtless"; debuting at #124, it peaked at #108 four weeks later.

His "My My My" was previously posted here in January 2020. Now, American DJ/producer Armand van Helden returns with his August 2016 single "Wings", which samples the 1982 British hit "I Won't Let You Down" by the duo Ph.D.

This week, I'll be spotlighting songs from three different "Oliver" acts.
The first one for today is from a DJ duo in Los Angeles named simply Oliver. Featuring the singer MNDR, "Chemicals" was released as a single in August 2017 and on their album Full Circle that same month.

The first is Oliver Heldens, whose "Koala" was released as a single in early August, ...
... and the other is Oliver $ from Germany, who with Switzerland's Jimi Jules released "Pushing On" as a single in late August.

From July 2011, here's Avicii with "Fade into Darkness" (vocals are by Swedish singer Andreas Moe).
And from August, Fedde Le Grand with "So Much Love" (sampling 1977's "Love's Such a Wonderful Thing" by The Real Thing).
