From this week in 2001, it's a song by a French house duo which samples the 1982 song "Soup for One" by Chic. It was at #87 on the Hot 100 and would peak at #81 in March. From this week in 2011, it's a song by a Los Angeles-based band that's no stranger to this thread, as 80sat40fan had previously posted the song back in 2016. The song was at #3 on Billboard's Adult Alternative (AKA Triple A) chart and would peak one notch higher at #2 one week later. Here's "Money Grabber" by Fitz and The Tantrums.

jlthorpe... You realize by naming me in your last post that it means I get to choose a free classic 2000s pick . Going back to the 2/19/2000 charts, this song was #1 on the Triple A chart, and at #33 on the Adult Top 40 chart where it would peak at #8. From this week in 2008, it's a song by an American rock band who recently scored a comeback with the Top 5 hit "High Hopes". This song was at #95 on the Hot 100 and would peak at #51 in April. It also came close to hitting the Mediabase Top 40, peaking at #42 in May. Here's "Nine in the Afternoon" by Panic! at the Disco.

From this week in 2016, it's a song that originally peaked at #78 on the Hot 100 for Gigi D'Agostino in 2001. Since the Oscars are being held tonight, here's a movie-related lost classic from 2009. It's a song from the film that won Best Picture for 2008, "Slumdog Millionaire", and would itself win the Oscar for Best Original Song. In January, the song peaked at #121 on Billboard's Bubbling Under chart. It would later be covered by the P u s s y cat Dolls and peak at #15 on the Hot 100. Here's "Jai Ho" by A. R. Rahman.

In honor of Saint Patrick's Day today, a lost classic from 2001, from an Irish rock band that was at #11 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart, after peaking at #10 two weeks before. The song also peaked at #118 on the Bubbling Under chart one week before, and was at its peak position of #19 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Here's "Walk On" by U2.
