80s: Star 100.9 (Yuma Arizona) Sunday 8:00 AM (local time) 11:00 AM(?) EST I looked online and said nothing Rick Dees 80s airing. But perhaps the on air schedule wasn't updated. And Sunday 8AM local time Arizona, which means in EST it starts 10AM I think. www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/yumaAnd since Daylight saving time ends on Sunday November 1, there's no effect for Yuma, AZ so if you live in EST, that means it will be 3 hours which is 11AM. And this will last until daylight save time begins Sunday March 13, 2016 2AM and it be back to (starts 10AM).

Isn't the Rick Dees 80's edition show played every week the same one that's posted directly on his website (minus commercials)? www.rick.com/rick-dees-weekly-top-40-80s-editionI thought I noticed that in the past but haven't checked every week. It used to change on Fridays. I found it much easier than hunting down the stations. I have noticed for a long time that the image/photo/graphic and the week-ending date info isn't always updated on that page (even for weeks or maybe months) but if you play the audio link, it would be a different show that would play for that week (Fri through Thurs) For example on the page "this week" I still see the same photo/graphic for the Eurythmics from some previous show played some weeks ago but the show that's playing from the link is from (something around) the week of 10-11-1985 with Bryan Adams as the guest

The audio will start to update every Thursday afternoons or late evenings. Depends. But as for pics/captions in main page, not sure why they didn't update those. They've been doing same thing for first week of April 4, 2015, like pic: Shaggy (CHR), Jason Derulo (HAC), Gerardo (90s), Little Richard (80s) and hadn't even updated for many months UNTIL Sept 12, 2015, which now the site pics doesn't update! But when you click on the link, that opens new browser tab, the captions on each pages said "fourth week" October year date. But the pic doesn't. For 80s: it's Oct 19, 1985 (though Dees doesn't announce the week of Oct.) Based on chart R&R Oct 11, 1985, it is actually dated Oct 19, 1985

I found this chart data from R&R that someone had compiled and was wondering how the shows were dated. wweb.uta.edu/faculty/gghunt/charts/chart.htmlSo on the current week that is being played, there are songs included that debuted on 10/11/1985 (a Friday), but the show is actually dated 10/19/1985 (the following Saturday)?

They had something called "Beacon" playing at that time. I checked the website and their Facebook page and no mention of Rick's 90s or 80s show. I don't know, I'm all confused. I hope they haven't dropped the 90s edition on that station. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. spock, it took me awhile to get used to the R&R methodology. I still don't know how it exactly works.

Casey's Top 40 (and AT40 when it used R&R) were always 8 days behind the R&R magazine date. I believe the same was true for Dees when he went strictly by R&R. So the 10/19/85 Dees show should would indeed be based upon the 10/11/85 R&R chart.

Amy Cross, staff member at Star 100.9 Yuma replied: "I am sorry that you were not able to see that we do air Rick Dee’s Weekly 80’s top 40 Countdown. We have had some time changes for some of our weekend programming and are still in the process of updating our website. We air Rick Dee’s Weekly Top 40 Countdown Sunday afternoon from 2-6." Rick Dees 80s has changed so if it's 2PM local time, which is 5PM EST time. I'm not sure but is the Rick Dees 90s still airing on Saturday night?

Thanks so much Kani.
As of last week, the 90's show still airs on Star. 10:00 PM(EST) to 2:00 AM although after Nov 1st and the time change that goes back an hour. Everywhere except Arizona evidently. Lucky them.

I'm little confused. Yuma current time is 2 hours behind from EST. So for 80s Sundays WT40 airs 2PM local time, maybe I'm assuming 4PM EST time?

That is correct. Rick Dees will air on Star 100.9 Sunday from 4-8pm EST. I am afraid though that it may not be the 80s version. I checked their website, did a search and it could be the weekly 'now' version that airs in that time slot.

Mystery solved. It is in fact the 80s edition played on Star 100.9 (Yuma,Arizona) Sundays 4:00 PM-8:00 PM (EST). I know that because I'm listening to it right now. So Star airs both shows (80s and 90s). Sorry for all the confusion.

Awesome! I was hoping for a station that does the Weekly Top 40 80s on Sunday evenings or nights.. Now we got one! So I'll be listening in this Sunday as they most likely do 1988.

OK, much in the same vein as we have one of these lists for "Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 70s" and "Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 80s," I thought I'd try to start a list of the competing retro-countdown show, "Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40." This listing of stations will follow the same basic format as the AT40 shows threads, seen elsewhere on this forum: station call letters, slogan and regularly scheduled time and day of broadcast; all times are Eastern. For right now, I'm not going to list whether there is a live stream of the station, but many of these stations do have that; I'll get to that later (hopefully). Remember that because of individual station circumstances, there may be instances of stations starting the show early or late, at a different time or not at all; the circumstances vary widely. www.timeanddate.com is a great site for converting time zones. ------------------ 1980sAlaska* KMBQ (99.7 FM) -- Q99.7 Wasilla Sunday, midnight-4 a.m. Iowa* KIYX (106.1 FM) -- Dubuque's Super Hits 106. Feel free to add. Brian Update on this list::: 5/24/15= For 80s show: KIYX 106.1 Saturdays=NO SHOW And: KLDJ 101.7FM=NO 80s SHOW, it's Regular Weekly Top 40 instead. kool1017.com/shows/sunday/I looked up on the site for KLDJ FM, website still shows every Sundays 4PM-8PM EST WT40 80s. (3PM local time starts). They're still airing 80s show. I think regular show aired only on Memorial Day earlier this year, and maybe later on went back to 80s. Surprised nobody but me figured this out.

Though I decide to add stations for Rick Dees CHR and HAC stations list since radio nenad never updates for some reason:
CHR: -CKIX FM Sat 10AM-2PM (Canada time); Sun 2PM-6PM (Canada time) -95.1 The Best Mix: West Indies Trinidad Port Spain. Sat 11AM-3PM (EST time) though chart may end early due to very limited commercials -The Peak 104.1 FM Sunday 11AM-3PM EST
HAC: -Mix 97 FM Sunday 11AM-3PM EST, usually end early around 2:50PM due to very limited commercials -WDNH FM Sunday 2PM-6PM EST -Kong Radio Kauai Sunday 1PM-5PM EST
Feel free to add those stations for HAC and CHR, maybe in EST times.
