ANY of the 70's and 80's shows would do, for me, honestly. But now after being a part of the Facebook groups honoring AT40 and having met some of the gang who've worked with Casey, God KNOWS I'd love to pick up the first of every show Casey's done (the first AT40 & the first CT40, for sure), especially since I'm missing part of my taped copies of Casey's ABC exit and Shadoe's debut, and now the CT40 debut. But, I did manage to get a taped interview with Larry King Casey did the weekend before the CT40 debut, of which I guard with my life. <G> Any and all of the shows are now a treasure I would be glad to have, to add to my digital shows and my two LPs, one of Casey's AT40 (1984) and one from rival John Leader's Countdown USA from 1986. The ONLY other "wish" I have regarding Casey is one I helped get in motion recently, and that's setting up a petition on Change.org that I hope people will take a moment to check out-namely, a petition for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to honor Casey with their non-artist award for helping the music industry. I've already sent a similar petition to the RRHOF, and I hope you guys might be able to help by taking a look yourself (and several of the folks on ProBoards have found out about it, thankfully). If you get a chance, check out......tinyurl.com/qaellb3 And thanks for listening, guys. Matt Gillis ("CCWolffeNC")

And a BIG welcome to the board Matt. I am Neale that has communicated with you over on facebook and lives outside Raleigh. Your efforts in regards to Casey since his death are to be duly noted and praised. No pun intended on the 'triad' reference in one of your posts?...lol

In my case, Neale, "Triad" represents the area where I've lived for many years, and having been able to listen to Casey from so many stations I've lost count. My family and I moved to North Carolina right before my birthday in August '66, and I've been a "Triad" (Greensboro/Winston-Salem area) resident ever since. And it's been true that I've loved Casey and some of his competitors since I can remember, and would love to get my paws on some of those shows, even now. I've already started building an online collection, and thanks to a little help from several sources, don't intend to stop now. And to you or anyone who happens to live in the area (near Greensboro and/or Burlington nowadays) or is at least stopping thru, by all means, give me a shout out. I'd love to "compare notes," so to speak, so we can share our love for good music, great times, and naturally, Casey.

The 5-26-79 show had the STORY of 'Imaginary lover' sped-up to sound like Stevie Nicks! Brian, that song wasn't on that chart, that week.

Wanna hear the 5-26-79 show, with Imaginary lover sped up to sound like Stevie Nicks. Matt (wahoo) still would need to send me the new file of that, since it got destroyed in my latest virus purge. I don't see "Imaginary Lover" listed for that show (at least on the Old Radio Shows site). Brian It's in between #8 & #9 as a LISTEN TO THIS: Imaginary Lover - Atlanta Rhythm Section charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/05-26-79.pdf

The months that have been neglected over the last several years! A few come to mind:
For the 80s: April 1980 June 1980 August 1980 May 1981 July 1981 March 1982 June 1982 September 1982 November 1982 NOTE: A lot of shows from 1982 played over the last few years, but so many have been from the same months--January, April, July, August, October, December. January 1983 May 1983 February 1984 May 1984 (how about 5/5/84--Premier has aired just one show from this month, and all the great music it had, the nearly 8 years of the series) October 1984 (10/20 and 10/27 in particular--we've yet to hear Romeo Void's "A Girl In Trouble" on a Premiere AT40 classic show) February 1985 July 1985 July 1986 February 1987 July 1987 (OK so they finally played 7/25/87, but it was so good--how about the 7/4/87 regular show?) NOTE: July 1985, '86, and '87...each July has only had one show ever played by Premiere. 1986 is the biggest head-scratcher--there are three other playable Casey-hosted shows from that month, and all are quite good... April 1988
For the 70s: December 1979 October 1979 May 1979 May 1978 December 1977 November 1976 August 1976 May 1976 (we got 5/1/76 this past year, but that's been it for several years--would love to hear 5/29/76) December 1975

Anything from 1/24/87-3/28/87 (To hear the Beastie Boys "Fight For Your Right" in the Top 40) preferably 2/7/87 with the song "19" as a LDD 4. Anything from 6/11/88-6/25/88 (To hear J.J. I'd love to hear the 1985 countdowns for the weeks in which 'We Are The World' and 'St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)' rose to #1; two unforgetable songs from an unforgetable year for pop music and most definitely for top 40 radio.
