Rick Rosas, better known as "Rick The Bass Player" passed away on November 6. He played with Joe Walsh beginning with his 1985 album "The Confessor" through his last release from 2012 "Analog Man". He also played with Neil Young through this time period, beginning with his 1988 classic album "This Note's For You". In 2011 his bass playing was a part the brief reunion of Buffalo Springfield. Other session work included Johnny Rivers, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Ron Wood. Joe Walsh always cracked me up during interviews. He would talk about "Rick The Bass Player" in such a casual way. It was as if he truly didn't know his last name or he was trying to convince you that his name was Rick Thebassplayer! Below are some postings and pictures. neilyoungnews.thrasherswheat.org/2014/11/rick-rosas-1949-2014.html
