Alann, thanks for all your new station finds. This station actually runs the countdown from 7am-10am ET (USA) on Sundays. I've confirmed this on at least three separate occasions since your post from Dec 22nd 2014 - including this past weekend. Go to the following URL for direct station confirmation: wtob1380.com/personalities/

I'm not in a position to commit to regularly updating the list of stations, but with no edit to the 70s or 80s station lists since early August, it was getting hard to keep track of the current situation re stations, times, etc. So I figured I'd update the list through all the current comments. I hope that's OK with the powers that be, and I will track and amend this list for as long as I am able.
Again, if this is not OK with the board operators, please feel free to delete.
Except where changes were made to reflect post-early August information, this is a straight copy of the last list (albeit without some of the pretty colors), including comments and acknowledgments.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: This list is meant only as a guideline - there are going to be individual instances of stations starting the show early or late, not airing parts of the show, not airing the correct show, not playing optional extras on a consistent basis, as well as many other instances. NOTE: Stations outside of the United States may play AT 40 at a different time than listed due to recent time changes. (thanks to poster Marv101 for this suggestion) www.timeanddate.com is a great site for converting time zones. (thanks to poster realitycheck for this time-related information) European time zones start daylight time on the last Sunday in March (usually two weeks later than the U.S.) and end it on the last Sunday in October (one week earlier than the U.S.). The rest of the year has British Time 5 hours ahead and Central European Time 6 hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AMERICAN TOP 40 (The 70's) with Casey Kasem Date of Broadcast Time of Broadcast (All times Eastern - USA) Station Call Letters Station Frequency Link (to listen online) If a station plays Premiere AT 40 Optional Extras If a station does not play AT 40 Optional Extras If a station plays AT 40 - 70s - 4 Hour Edition ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday 10 am - 1 pm KOLA - All Classics...All The Time - San Bernadino/Redlands CA 99.9 FM player.liquidcompass.net/KOLAFMThanks to upland1425 for the following: Please add the following alternative link (for winamp / iTunes) to the stream of KOLA-FM: (The same will apply to other stations using the LiquidCompass LC Pro Flash Player) edgev1.den.echo.liquidcompass.net/KOLAFMAACPlays Optional Extras NOTE: Not on a consistent basis NOTE: Station also airs AT 40 - 80s - on Saturday at 8 am EST ** Station's website tells the AT 40 broadcast date** www.kolafm.com/page/71/Casey_KasemUPDATE: According to poster marv101 (Dec 9 2012): on Sunday evenings at 10 PM (EST) they re-air the top 10 from the 1970s countdown, followed by the top 10 from the 1980s countdown at 11 PM; that's been the case for several months. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, we lost another 70's affiliate today, I knew/saw, then told everyone here that this one was coming eventually with these idiots and right near the Premiere 8 year anniversary date when they began their current schedule back in 2007! www.kolafm.com/casey-kasem/THE 80'S PLAY HERE

Disappointed in WTTR. Dead air for several minutes, when they very well could've played the OE in hour 3 of the 3-19-77 show.

Yes, you did. I just noticed it. Sorry for overlooking it last night. Don't know if KOLA is really getting rid of the '70s countdowns. This past weekend, they still played the 3/19/77 countdown at the usual time, Sunday 10 am - 1 pm Eastern. They started phasing the '70s music out of their regular playlist a year or two ago; that much I know for sure. Interesting, huh?

Yep and indeed, KOLA did play 3/19/77, I've found out since my first report that they will drop Casey Kasem's American Top 40 - The 70's after the last weekend in March when Premiere contracts are usually up for renewal!

Two weeks in a row KEGK playing American Hit List in the Sunday 8am slot.
Edit: 80s list indicates they've moved on.

I caught a little bit of 3/31/73 on KOLA yesterday morning. I'm not too saddened by losing the '70s shows locally -- not when we still have them on satellite three times every weekend.

WLDE, Fort Wayne station, last Sunday morning they played the AT40: 80s (played Mar 28, 1987). I emailed Captain Chris about it, he replied that the station was testing the AT40: 80s, whether or not to keep those is clearly undetermined and based on listener's input. I'll continue to check if they will continue to play 80s. If it does, then WLDE will no longer be playing AT40: 70s anymore.

70s affiliate WOCL Orlando is playing 1985 this morning, but still the 3 hour version. It was this time last year they spent some time bouncing between the 70s and 80s before going back to strictly 70s for almost a year now. Will continue to keep an eye on them
