Hi, I'm new to the board. I was wondering if you guys would have input on the least intensive (from a data transfer standpoint) top 40 stream (preferably 80s vs. 70s, but either is ok) for Casey.
For example, I downloaded an app for iPhone to stream 80s show, and within a few minutes it took up 60MB of data. Maybe there's an AM radio stream (as opposed to FM) I can try, which would decrease my odds of going over my data limit for the month.
Thanks so much for any suggestions.

Not sure how it works with iphone or the app you use, but KOKZ streams AT40 70s and 80s at 32kbps. That is one of the lower bitrates and yet it still sounds fairly good.

AM vs FM won't have any bearing on the bit rate of the stream (that only matters for the off-air signal)--it all depends on how the station provides the stream online. Just remember that generally speaking, the lower bandwidth the stream, the lower quality the audio.
