This is exactly why I refuse to pay for dar.fm. It's a great service but one I will use for free until it is completely reliable.
I have my own method of archiving AT40 from dar.fm and it works for me.

With DST starting next weekend, a reminder to double check and see if you need change the times of your recordings. I added WEZG to have an extra Gary Owens show and noticed different times for what I record weekly (I have KOKZ as one recording. This week recorded at 5:45 AM PT. Next week the recording is listed at 6:45 AM PT). I would add an extra hour next Sunday just in case their software screws up.

Don't know when they came back but it's back now (5:54 PM PT). The outage did ruin a test record I did this morning (checking out a station that isn't on the list to see what they do for AT40).

Yes. The sad report is true. Dar now has made the download a Pro feature. I guess if you want, you can pay $60 for a year's account. Ugh. It's actually $40. To me, it's been worth it. I can record both shows at least twice each (in case a recording screws up). I don't know how long ago it happened but it seems like all the prices went up. Regular pro is $39.95 for 1 show. What used to be 5 shows for $40 special is now a special price at $79.95.

Bumping up because I saw this in my e-mail:
So if anyone uses dar for free, you either have to buy an account or use another source.

It was a good ride while it lasted. Guess I'll be trying "Streamwriter". Here are other possible alternatives, although there seems to be a drawback to most of them: www.tomsguide.com/us/pictures-story/435-internet-radio-recording.htmlI haven't tried any of these but Audacity Timer Record, so if anyone else has suggestions, that would be great. EDIT: PS now that the jig is up, anyone who has shows on dar.fm can download them free from here for the time being: shop.mp3tunes.com/loginform.phpmp3tunes is where darfm stores the files for those who didn't know.
