No idea what got me thinking about this, but what is the lowest number to not be in the title of a Top 40 song since 1970? Zero (thank you Tommy Tutone and The Fixx) through 10 (at least Face To Face has used the number 10) are all covered, but does the number (or word) eleven appear in a song title? If it does, then does twelve appear, and so on?

Four is also taken care of by Night Ranger, "Four In The Morning (I Can't Take Anymore)" 5 is taken care of by Tommy Tutone (867-5309) and Squeeze (853-5937) 7 is taken care of by both of the above songs, and Prince "7". I count the telephone songs, because each number is a specific digit in the phone and specifically spoken in the title.

In the teens, it's funny. I don't see 11, 12, 13 or 14, but we definitely have 15 (Taylor Swift), 16 (Ringo Starr), 17 (Janis Ian), 18 (Pete Wingfield, or Skid Row) and 19 (Paul Hardcastle). So it seems the front end of the teens is not favored, but the later end is!

Bill Haley & His Comets sang Thirteen Women - but I think it was before 1970 - and I don't know if it made the Top 40.
Looks like a couple of artists have sang songs (or a song) called 12 Angry Men.
And Eleven by The Grateful Dead.
And a few songs called Fourteen, including one by Tiny Tim.
So it's not like people haven't tried!
Thanks Google. I remembered Thirteen Women but I had never heard of any of these others.

The Time had 777-9311 (pronounced seven seven seven ninety three eleven). Although it wasn't on AT40, it got to #2 r&b and 88 on the Hot 100.

Bill Haley & His Comets sang Thirteen Women - but I think it was before 1970 - and I don't know if it made the Top 40. It was recorded in 1954 as the B-side of "Rock Around the Clock". It wasn't a top 40 hit, though I do remember Casey mentioning it and possibly playing a bit of it on AT40 in a story about "Rock"s significance.

Donny Osmond reached #8 in 1973 with his version of "The Twelfth Of Never". Close enough?

And although it never hit the Top 40, a couple years ago in one of the optional segments, Larry played a "Halloween Horror Movie Medley" which included "Theme From Friday the 13th, Part 2."

Did the band Finger 11 ever make the top 40? They had a couple hits around 2006-07 IIRC... not a song title, but a band name that included 11.
