"Maria" is a great song, and it peaked at #10 on the Hot AC chart. The Go West one is good too.

My pick for this week's Lost 90s Classic was from an artist who had placed 29 songs in the Top 10 between 1984 and 1996, and in that time, only two of her Hot 100 hits failed to crack the Top 40. This song would be Madonna's third Hot 100 hit to not achieve chart success. This song was originally released on "Like A Virgin" but was re-mixed for her album "Something To Remember". It debuted at #91 on the 4/20/96 chart and would peak at #78. It's a great rendition of the #32 hit recorded by Rose Royce. Here is Madonna with "Love Don't Live Here Anymore":

Excellent choice, 80sat40fan. And speaking of 1996, here's a song that was on the charts during this week that year that only peaked at #53. It was a song that landed the artist in hot water when Coolio didn't appreciate a serious song like his "Gangsta's Paradise" being used for parody (the two eventually patched things up). Here's "Amish Paradise" by "Weird Al" Yankovic.

My pick for this week's Lost 90s Classic comes from the 2/14/98 chart. Mono was a band from the UK whose musical style was described as "trip hop". Their lone entry onto the Hot 100 debuted at #92 this week and would eventually top out at #70, enjoying a 15 week run. In the same group and song title vein as "In A Big Country" by Big Country or "Living In A Box" by Living In A Box, here is Mono with "Life In Mono": From several pages back, I remember I first became aware of the group and the song, when I saw a preview of the movie, the modern-day version of “Great Expectations” (w/Ethan Hawke, Gwyneth Paltrow, and DeNiro) in the theater over the Christmas/New Year holidays of 1997-98. Even the snippets of the song in that preview, was enough to hurry to Tower Records and buy an EP/Single-CD copy that had six different version/remixes of the song incl. the following instrumental Mono-Life in Mono (instrumental)

My pick for this week's Lost 90s Classic comes from Billy Joel's #1 album, "Storm Front". The song debuted on the 5/5/90 Hot 100 chart at #82 and would peak at #57. Here is Billy Joel with "The Downeaster 'Alexa'":

My pick for this week's Lost 90s Classic features the return of David Crosby to the charts. He teamed up with Phil Collins on this hit which debuted at #90 on the 5/8/93 Hot 100. Phil sang background vocals, co-wrote the song and played drums on the song... and it still didn't hit AT40! This song did peak at #22 on Radio & Records but somehow only got to #44 on the Hot 100. Here is David Crosby with Phil Collins with "Hero":

Offering up a lost hit from 5/11/1991, this was the follow-up to Gloria Estefan's #1 hit "Coming Out Of The Dark". This song was in its peak position of #53 that week. Gloria Estefan - Seal Our Fate

Offering up my Lost 90s Classic a few days early as I will be enjoying the sunny skies of Florida this weekend. Since a few people thought that the 90s musically was full of garbage, how about some more Garbage? On the 5/16/98 chart, this song was only in its second week on the Hot 100 but was slipping a notch to #53... its peak position was the previous week at #52. Here is Garbage and "Push It":

The end of charting was to come soon for this 80s sensation from San Francisco. 12 Top 10s (out of 19 Top 40 hits) with three of those hitting the top would qualify them for high standards among groups.
On this date in 1994, their next to last chart single would just miss the Top 40, peaking at #44 on the Hot 100.
Here's Huey Lewis and the News with "She's Some Kind Of Wonderful":

My pick for this week's Lost 90s Classic features the return of The Pretenders to the Hot 100 after a seven year absence. This hit, their first from their album "Last Of The Independents", debuted at #94 on the 5/21/94 chart and would peak a few weeks later at #71. It was their follow-up hit which got them back into the Top 20... "I'll Stand By You". Here is "A Night In My Veins" by The Pretenders:

My pick this week's Lost 90s Classic if from 2015's Grammy winner for best album... Beck. He debuted at #98 on the 5/31/97 Hot 100 with this tune, and it would peak at #78. I love the bass line and the percussion in this song. Here is Beck with "The New Pollution":

My pick for this week's Lost 90s Classic is from an artist who only had one Hot 100 hit. Daryl Braithwaite is an Australian singer who had 15 Top 40 songs in his home country including one #1 song, but this song was his lone entry on the American charts, moving up from #78 to #74 on the 6/8/91 chart. It would eventually peak at #47. Here is Daryl Braithwaite with "Higher Than Hope":

My pick for this week's Lost 90s Classic comes from the singer who took "Wicked Game" to #6 in 1991. He debuted at #90 on the 6/10/95 Hot 100 with this song, and it fell just short of the Top 40, peaking at #45. This song made it to #30 on Radio & Records. Here is Chris Isaak with "Somebody's Crying":
