My pick for This Week's Lost 90s Classic is from a duo who didn't achieve their first Top 40 hit until three years ago... Daft Punk. They took the song "Get Lucky" to #1 in 2013. My pick for This Week's Lost 90s Classic is the first single from R.E.M.'s 1996 album, "New Adventures in Hi-Fi". The song debuted way up at #11 on the 8/31/96 Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart, and at #54 on the 9/7/96 Hot 100. On the 9/14/96 charts, it would peak at #2 (Modern Rock) and #49 (Hot 100). The device that Peter Buck uses to give his guitar an orchestral sound is called an Electronic Bow, or E-Bow for short, and R.E.M. included that device's name in the song title.
