It's probably only on the satellite radios--SXM does that thing where they allow people who have an SXM radio in their car or wherever, but don't subscribe to the service, to listen for free for a couple weeks (you may have seen their commercials where former MTV VJ Mark Goodman sneaks into the area that houses SXM's equipment and pushes a fictitious button that turns on all inactive radios). Obviously it's meant to entice people who have radios to subscribe...
