Jean Kasem is a despicable, vile, horrible cretin. Why she still has any say in anything relating to Casey is unfathomable to me.

Can the family request an autopsy from Norway? I know it would need to be through the court but they can do this, correct?

What the family needs to do is file an injunction or whatever against his being buried in Norway and to have his body remanded back to the States and into the family's custody. Again - how that woman can be in charge of anything legally for Casey at this point is way beyond my legal pay grade. I work for attorneys, but I certainly am not one.
Just who is representing the Kasem kids, anyway? The attorney played by Henry Winkler on "Arrested Development"? What a d**n disgrace this has turned out to be.

They had said they weren't going to fight over custody of the body. They've attempted to live by that. I am sure they also thought Jean had one shred of dignity and goodness. She doesn't. Maybe they will do something now. But there's also a point where you may not be able to afford it either. I have no idea how much $$ the 3 have or if all of them even want to pursue this. Lawyers cost $$ and so does everything else you are suggesting. I'd guess they don't have an endless supply of cash to pay for all of this and presumably Jean does to fight it.

Kerri says she and her siblings are all independently wealthy, a point she's emphasized in response to the charge that they're after Casey's fortune. However, that may not mean rich enough to hire top dollar lawyers to pursue this indefinitely.
I agree that they were probably mistaken that Jean would act in a reasonable manner, especially after Casey died and his medical care and visitation were moot points. I too thought she was a decent person from what I knew, until last year when it surfaced that Casey was gravely ill and she was barring his offspring from seeing him. And she just got worse from there.

Ah, but reports are surfacing that the Norwegian authorities are saying, "Let's take a look at this..." "This" includes all the complaints lodged by Jean's opponents. NBC NewsHope springs anew. dL

I hope Casey's family can stay and fight for him to be buried where he wished and that Norway denies the ridiculous request. And I doubly hope nutjob Jean gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for the abuse she put him through.

It's a shame that he is going to be buried in Norway. After this, Jean can finally go to hell.

Just to show how things don't resonate with me ever, I've seen Ghostbusters a few times in the past. Tonight we went and saw it at the theatre in the 30 year anniversary rerelease. Obviously I heard Casey in the movie but I nearly vomited when all of a sudden I realized the big titted blonde at the party Rick Moranis's character was throwing was in fact Jean! Seriously wanted to throw my drink at the screen!

I saw it today. Even though I own it, I wanted to see it on the big screen. They don't make movies like that anymore

They don't make movies like that anymore I have the BluRay but I'm probably going to buy the 1 coming out next month that has 1 & 2 plus finally the Ray Parker Jr. and Bobby Brown videos on it. I also saw it in the theatre back in 84. Nice to see it again.
