it wasn't a premiere remastered show as it has the full theme endings at the end of each hour (they aired it on Ausust 29th of this year).2NVR seems to have dropped the show now anyway By the way, the version of the iHeart channel is just the top 40, rather than the top 50. They squeeze #40 to #38 into the next hour, similar to the arrangement of the year-end countdown of 1974, 1976, and 1977 aired back in 2009/2010. The optional extras were: Born To Be Alive - Patrick Hernandez Old Time Rock N Roll - Bob Seger Big Shot - Billy Joel Quite a bad mix of Optional Extras there, with so many other choices, Premiere picks those last 2 that never even made the 1979 Top 51-100!

It looks like Premiere just took the optional extras from other weekly shows. Larry mentioned "Old Time Rock N Roll" was moving up to #41 on the Hot 100!!! They simply took it from the 4/28/79 show.

Wow Casey was really into the "do you remember this song" intro on the 1973 Year End Countdown. He used it on Johnny Rivers and Stories and Tony Orlando. It's not like any of those hits were from back in the old days, as it was still the same year.

Playing TOP 80 OF 1972 END OF YEAR NOW Hmmm...maybe Premiere will offer 1972 AND 1979 as year end countdowns, which makes sense given the usual pattern of pairing 1970-72 shows with something from later. If that's so, however, then they'll have to put forth something in addition to the 1979 top 50 for stations that choose it, since 1972 takes two weeks.

I mentioned in the 80s station thread that PAC 93, Ogdensburg, NY didn't play 1 and 2 from the 1981 year end countdown. I just happen to check the IHeartRadio and number 2 came on. Strange.
