Listening to Casey's second to last show on the original AT40 from 7-23-88 on the Classic AT40 IHeart Radio Channel. Have they added any new shows yet that you know of? Ever since they added the 90th show to their lineup (6/29/1985), that 1988 show would only come on at 3:00 AM every 15 days.

AT40 4/17/93. IMHO, a lot of "lost" good songs in the bunch.

Casey's Top 40 from 4/13/91. As with so many of these early 90's shows, some fun discoveries of songs I either have never heard before or can't remember. Then some long slow stretches of crappy songs I never need to hear again (e.g. "One More Try" by Timmy T, "Voices That Care" by Voices That Care--kudos for making a record that benefitted the troops, but man this was not a good song, and "Save Some Love" by something called Keedy). A good set of debuts though, including Queensryche's "Silent Lucidity", which IMHO has to be one of the best power ballads of all time.

^ I heard that show last year, along with many of the CT40 1991 shows. Lots of long-lost tracks.
With today being the anniversary of Prince's passing, I've heard bits and pieces of AT40 from 4/23/1983, 8/4/1984, 9/29/1984, 11/24/1984, and 4/19/1986 (so far). And he has a hit on the current show I'm listening to, CT40 from 4/25/1992.

That song reminds me of "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd. As far as musical taste for 1991, I find the first four months to be lackluster much like 1988. Both years for me got better from May on towards the end. 1991 seemed to have a lot of two-hit wonders more than any other year that I can remember. Rock seemed to go more acoustic even before the MTV Unplugged craze (Tesla, Extreme etc). Finally, it seemed like Timmy T used the same keyboards as Rose Royce did with their 1979 hit "Love Don't Live Here Anymore".

Almost halfway through the first hour of 4/26/1980, this week's 80s "A" show. Casey sounds much better in this show; the previous few weeks going back to 3/22, I could hear he was dealing with something.
Love these 1980 shows!

3/26/77 -- lots of great music in this show. Rotating between 70s and 80s AT40s (mostly following Premiere's recent selections) and CT40 shows.

Listening to AT40 from 4-24-76 that I recorded from KYMG from 2017 (that week's B show). A lot of great stuff in the first hour-Andrea True Connection, EWF, Bad Company, Kiss, and Cate Bros. "Union Man". I haven't decided on my next selection either 4-25-81 or 4-30-83. More than likely the latter.

At work, it's the MERC special, the top 100 hits from the original Casey Kasem era (1970-1988).

4-26-80, regarding the LDD, I didn’t hear the letter, I just caught Casey introducing the song, Stairway to Heaven. So maybe he addressed this, and I missed it, but when the dedications started he asked that the song being dedicated be a “hit”. So I assumed that a non single wouldn’t be acceptable.
Did the policy change or have did any other album cuts make the show as dedications?

Did the policy change or have did any other album cuts make the show as dedications? That may never have been a policy per se. Carole King's original version of "You've Got a Friend" was played as a Dedication many times.
