Casey's Top 40 from September 14, 1991. I'll be hearing that one soon too. Currently on 9/8/1979 (oh, Hour 2 opens with #34), and then CT40 from 9/2/1989, then 9/14/1991.

In memory of Eddie Money and Ric Ocasek, AT40 from September 16, 1978. Included are a signature song from each, "Two Tickets To Paradise" and "Just What I Needed".
Casey mentioned that The Who was the only legendary supergroup at that time who only had one top 10 hit. Apparently they forgot Led Zeppelin - "Whole Lotta Love" was their only top 10 (or perhaps they were too album-oriented?)

Casey's Top 40, September 30, 1995. Debuts this week included two enduring classics ("Name" and "Gangsta's Paradise"), and one of Prince's more obscure ones "Eye Hate U" from his TAFKAP period. And Seal's big "Batman Forever" hit "Kiss From A Rose" was in its final week at #1, about to be overtaken by the recently-reunited (in 2019) Hootie & the Blowfish. Casey told a story about how wild All-4-One's concert was in Seoul that the riot police was called - which surprised them given their views that South Korean fans were more laid back when it comes to music fandom. Ironic given how wild K-pop fans get these days...

AT40 from 9/12/81 -- guest hosted by Gary Owens. Interesting delivery that Owens had -- among the most unique of any of the sub hosts. Definitely takes some getting used to.

AT40 from 9/29/90, with the seasonably appropriate titled song "Black Cat".

^ I've got AT40 from that date 11 years prior, with the late Robert W. Morgan sitting in for Casey. Before, it was CT40 from 9/28/1991.

Going back 30 years to a landmark show-AT40 from 9-30-89. It was the 1,000th show. Lot of great songs. NKOTB had 3 songs in the 40 at the same time.

Just finished the 9/8/79 show with Gordon Elliott guest hosting. That show is a fun listen--both in terms of the music and the host. Now onto 9/7/85 -- second time I will have heard this one.

Just about to finish up CT40 from 10/5/1991, with Mark Elliott guest-hosting. Starting to fall a little behind on 1979 and 1991, with the 10/6/1979 AT40 on deck. I'm halfway through the period where "Dark Disco" is used all throughout the show, and no "Shuckatoom".
I think it was on the previous week's 1991 show, that Casey mentioned KOKZ, which currently carries AT40: The 70s and 80s series. Pretty cool.
