I'm listening to a show on the Classic AT40 IHeart Radio channel that might be a stand alone show in a few weeks: 9-17-83. I will probably try to fit 8-25-79 in my schedule this weekend.

Well, I was listening to the classic AT40 iHeart channel, and 11/27/1982 just finished. Then, they started playing...11/27/1982 again! Turned that off pretty quickly. Haven't listened to that channel much this year; I like to check in once in a while but usually just stick to my own collection.
Later today, 8/26/1978...the first show to feature the Long Distance Dedication. May throw this weekend's 1979 show in the queue this week as well. Trying to avoid 1979 this year for the most part since I'll do a run through that year in 2019, but I may sprinkle in a show here and there.

Today I also listened to the from 8/26/78 and 8/27/8&
40 years ago this week the Lond Distance Dedication began.
d**n that show and that letter!
And in 88 it was a farewell to the last Playboy Club in existence.
Can’t imagine why I hate this feature so much!!

Later this weekend as time permits: AT40 from 9/1/1979, and 9/2/1978 (guest-hosted by Larry McKay).
We all know how during the 3-hour 1978 shows, songs are frequently edited. One repeated target is "Boogie Oogie Oogie" by A Taste Of Honey. I think I've only heard it unedited once during its chart run so far.
ETA: Hour 2 of 9/1/1979 begins with #34; will have to suspend play shortly.

Yesterday it gave me great pleasure on the way to and from the Magic Kingdom to listen to 9/2/78. I’ve been waiting for weeks to rub it in...I mean...enjoy listening to the show with my wife who was born 40 years ago this week.

Getting behind on my shows, thanks to another busy week. Never finished AT40 9/2/1978, so that's up first. Then, 9/9/1978. Also on the radar: Weekend 22, Weekend Top 20 Countdown, and AMC 1983. That's just at home. In the car, it's CT40 9/5/1992, followed by AT40 9/11/1999.

In the car, CT40 from 9/13/1997. In the intro to #38, which was "More Than This" by 10,000 Maniacs, Casey was telling of the filming of the song's video in Wisconsin, at a museum featuring rare and unusual musical instruments from the turn of the century. After keyboard player Dennis Drew walked into one room where there was a chair with mechanical arms that played a violin, which was then followed by, "Zoinks!" using his Shaggy voice.
Still working on AT40 9/9/1978 at home. Seems like I hardly know this place anymore.
