I wish Yvonne Elliman would have done a version of the following song. But in her absence, we turn to this Hawaiian-born (and raised) to find out how to pronounce the authentic title correctly: Mele Kalikimaka – Bette MidlerMy other offering is a holiday take on the BTO song “Takin’ Care of Business”. To me, this 2004 release sounds amazingly like the original. Takin’ Care of Christmas – Randy Bachman

This year's countdown is over! Merry Christmas everybody! A safe, blessed, and happy holiday season to all! We'll wrap it up with Dan Fogelberg's rendition of a traditional Christmas classic. What Child Is This? - Dan Fogelberg
The lyrics to the song were written by William Dix in 1865. The tune itself is based on a traditional English folk song dating back to the 16th century. Mason Williams "Classical Gas-sed" it to #90 on the Hot 100 in the sixties. But the version that stands out to me is the one from the first Jeff Beck Group album, "Truth". The beauty is in the simplicity. Greensleeves - Jeff Beck Group

Offering a traditional Christmas classic that first entered the hot 100 on 12/22/58, and peaked at #13. It's my favorite Christmas song:
"The Little Drummer Boy" - Harry Simeon Chorale
A very Merry Christmas / holiday season to all!

WBME has been playing a lot of great Christmas music. They play the stuff you never hear as well as the overplayed stuff on occasion. 12am-8am and 12pm-8pm Monday thru Wednesday this week. Plus Friday the 25th thru Sunday the 27th is ALL Christmas music mix! On Christmas Eve, they have a few specialty shows highlighting the stuff you never hear. www.wbme.radiostream123.com

Yes, December 23 is the official date of Festivus. And as an active celebrator, may you all have a very Happy Festivus! Would love to someday gather around the pole for an AT40 Fun & Games Feats of Strength!
