REO Speedwagon's "A Decade of Rock and Roll 1970 to 1980" had 3 Hot 100 singles from the late 70s which failed to reach the Top 40. Epic Records re-released one of the singles which peaked @ #77. The next album was "Hi Infidelity".

I remember listening to the radio once and a disc jockey commented after playing Lee Michaels 'Do You Know What I Mean' that the song came from a Greatest Hits album. Pretty hard to believe that a guy that had two Top 40 hits had a greatest hits but I checked on Amazon and there it is (amazing). I really think of him as a 'One Hit Wonder'.

Yeah, it amazes me when a two hit wonder has a hits album, especially when its not as if he had tons of hits in another country or something.

When Gary Weaver had a breakthrough hit with "Dream Weaver" his previous label A&M released a double album compilation from his solo albums on that label and material by his former band Spooky Tooth, with no U.S. hits (although Spooky Tooth had at least one song "Evil Woman" with some FM fame).
