Ordered the book yesterday. I'll look forward to it in March (since Record Research usually ships a month after their initial promise date).
Will be nice to have Pop books covering the Big 3 (Billboard, Record World & Cashbox).

Maybe we will get the book early.
Now the Record Research website has been updated saying the release date of the book is "Coming late January 2014"

Had it been a reproduction of the actual charts, I'd be interested. For some reason I thought it was going to be

Once this book is released, I love for Record Research to tackle the other trade magazine "Radio & Records" and print a similar book like this Cash Box Pop Hits book.

Looking at the PDF sample pages for 1/8/72 &9/10/77 of Cash Box Top 100, it looks there were more info on a typical BB Hot 100. No producer &/nor writer info on Cash Box chart (main chart or alphabetised titles portion); no weeks-on-charts column either, at least for the sample week of 1/8/1972 (for week-by-week WOC col. for that earlier part of the 70s, one has to refer to the historical CB chart site already online.) On the other hand, it seems there was two-weeks-ago col. throughout the decade in Cashbox.

I'm hoping this is an indication that these books will be published eventually:
Cash Box Top 100 Charts: The Sixties Cash Box Top 100 Charts: The Eighties Music Vendor / Record World Top 100 Charts: The Sixties Record World Top 100 Charts: The Seventies

I don't understand why Joel Whitburn release this Cashbox Top 100 of the'70s book since all the Cashbox weekly charts are available for free on the internet.
A Record World book of weekly Top 100 of the '70s would have been a better awaited option.
