i made a mistake with KOKZ (iadded the URL myself) and WODC are still in thier old station call name " WLZT ". WMJI & WMGN who air the show are in the database, also search for " AT70 " for the classic iHeart stream Thanks for the info. I will give Streamwriter a try these next few weeks and see how it goes.

well I tried usaveit to attempt recording of the 70s show this morning on KOKZ from 7am-10am PST. Well the recording is nowhere to be found! Does anyone have a good experience with usaveit? I may have to go back to time recording in audacity if this doesn't work.

Are these types of links necessary for usaveit to work?

Thanks for the tip. Is this a wmp or vlc link? Are these types of links necessary for usaveit to work? I have no idea, I think wmp. But instead of entering KOKZ under station name, paste this link instead into the streaming url box and it works. The recording will be given a funky name though when you go to playback.

Another good thing about usaveit.com is after the one month free trial is up, you still get to use the service without paying, but you are limited to 1 scheduled recording and a maximum of 10 total hours recorded.

Did it work for you. Nothing appears still for me. Unless it doesn't show up until the recording is completely finished.

lasvegas, the links you posted worked and I was able to record both shows over the weekend, thanks!
Now, is it possible to save these to a file, all I could figure out is streaming them.

I'm thinking the only way to download is to set it up as a public stream to begin with. Did you get WEZG's stream to work in usaveit?

After months of searching, I think I've found my saving grace: RarmaRadio! Trying it out and it is working flawlessly for me. Able to stream, set recordings, and the files are already stored as mp3s (no downloading). It's only $29 and you pay once, not every year like dar.fm www.raimersoft.com/rarmaradio.aspx

I have been using Dar.fm for a number of years now. I started with the free version, then decided it was a fantastic service and figured the company deserved to make money, so I became a pro user two years ago. I am now up for renewal again, and it will now cost $80 for the same functionality that I was getting for $40 previously. I wouldn't have minded a small increase, but double is a bit much.
I have been giving StreamWriter a try, and it looks pretty good - but I cannot figure out how to add a station. Every URL I have pasted in does not work.
I have found a few AT 40 stations like WODC, WGHN, and WLIX.
I don't see WWIS, KOKZ or WPNC on there, and would like to add them. If anyone can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated!
