That's one advantage of listening on the Canadian & Australian stations none of those annoying ads. Here's what I always add after the TT ads something like I ripped the door open & whipped his @ss that taught him more than the TT system did & let me tell you he never acted out again.
Is it just me or have we gone a few weeks without Total Transformation or hearing Flo's latest hit?
I haven't heard the TT ad in awhile (thankfully), but Flo is still around. She was on WWIS' broadcast this afternoon.
I never thought of Progressive Flo as mainly a Premiere advertiser, mainly because I see her so much on TV that she just doesn't stand out to me on radio. I do agree that we don't need to hear her every ten minutes on either medium.
On a semi-related note, I've lately listened to the current AT40 on its own iHeart Radio channel more than over the air. Not only can I listen to it at any time during the week, but it goes so much faster when you don't have to listen to Ryan pimp Subway's latest special umpteen times.
What was great about the now defunct Canadian Forces Radio Network was that none of these commercials ever was played. I would read the Premiere cue sheet (BTW, the ones on KIX 102.9's site hasn't been updated since the first week of January) and smile because I didn't have to hear TT or Flo or anything else for AT40.

It made for easier recording too. Except for a CFN jingle or promo sometimes for the Dees show ironically, the hour went right through non-stop. Plus they played all the optional extras and also another song from the Hot 100 of whatever week was playing. Definitely the best station in the 4 or so years that I heard these shows.
There was one commercial so obnoxious that I shouted at the computer--the irritating one that begins with "My friend Linda" or something like that. Some of those commercials are so obnoxious that I have to turn the sound down--I often miss part of the first song after the break--and it is always a song that I enjoy--like "Hot Line" last weekend on the 1977 broadcast.

AT40 is heard in the 50 states and around the world on great radio stations...
Hope the Ellen ad's are for this week only - i can't handle listening to her through 4 shows next week ( I Know we should be grateful for the network spots as without them we wouldn't have AT40 reruns on the air,But i seriously hate that woman )

I agree with that let Seacrest have her as I think the white teen girl audience with no music taste are fans of both.
i wish they would stop the ring relief ad's - here in the uk ring is a slang word for the anus, so every time that ad comes on i was thinking it was a hemorrhoid treatment (i'm not keen on any of the dodgy medicine adverts to be honest, here in the uk those adverts would be banned ! )
