Once again,Premiere will be offering up another twofer this coming weekend:7/31/71 & 7/27/74-I'm thinking that Magic 98 will air the B show & CKOC will air the A show.

I think otherwise - since Magic 98 aired 7/4/70 on the 4th of July, they haven't touched an early 70s show yet. I say 7/31/71 on Magic 98.
CKWW - likely "A" show

The Walrus says 74, KOLA says 71. KOLA says 74, not 71 And the Walrus says 71. Sheesh, you'd think half pot of coffee would be enough!

CKWW - likely "A" show I was listening to CKWW this morning and they made an announcement that AT40 would not be airing this evening. They didn't specify why or if it was a permanent preemption, but it appears that they have removed Tuesday from their AT40 page: www.am580radio.com/Shows/Shows/American-Top-40-The-Seventies I just thought I would pass that along.

And the Walrus says 71. Sheesh, you'd think half pot of coffee would be enough! Shame on KOLA 99.9 out of Redlands, California, another epic fail on them, now for repeating a repeat show from just last year and 2007, boo, hiss!

I share the sentiments with 3WS here in Pittsburgh, trekkielo, as it has chosen to air the 1974 show just heard last year.
CKWW dropping the Tuesday night airing of the 70s series bites it big time. I love to getting it out of the way before the weekend comes, as well.
I guess I can use "loved", past tense, now.

1971 for both WODC and WSNV, which the last couple of weeks has returned to posting up the Premiere cue sheet after lapsing for over a month.

I listened to the recording I have from last year of the 7/27/74 show. What a fantastic broadcast. Tons of great songs. Even songs that peaked in the 20s were and are still classics. "This Heart" by Gene Redding, for example. And we had two "Rock" songs in the top 10 as former number ones: "Rock the Boat" and "Rock Your Baby".
That's the time period to me that music really began to pick up in the 1970s - mid-1974.
