Maybe not the embarrassment of riches of twelve months earlier but how can you say no to a 1984 show with H&O, Julio and Willie and Dr. Noah Drake. Romantics not talking in their sleep, Matthew Wilder not breaking his stride, MM with the Earth Band and KC w/o the Sunshine Band! MJ back to back with Weird AL and ALan Parsons!! Girls and Ga-Ga!!

4/25/81 is probably as close to perfect as AT40 ever got for me. Apr./May 81 was the peak of pop music in my world. There would be other highs, but nothing like this.
