In the song the lyrics include 'Mamma Mia' and in the UK Abba's 'Mamma Mia' dethroned Bohemian Rhapsody from the No1 position in early 1976.

One example I can think of where the title was not heard at all in the lyrics:
"Dilemma" by Nelly - from 2002.
I think Casey mentioned on the Top 100 of 2002 that it was the first #1 song where the title was not mentioned in the lyrics.
I think "Sir Duke" was only mentioned once in the lyrics to Stevie Wonder's song "Sir Duke".

Because about four years before that, "Iris" was number one. I think "Sir Duke" was only mentioned once in the lyrics to Stevie Wonder's song "Sir Duke".

These are obvious: El Condor Pasa - Simon & Garfunkel DOA - Bloodrock
I believe the complete title is only heard once in these songs: Woodstock - CSN&Y/Matthews' Southern Comfort Mother Freedom - Bread It's One Of Those Nights (Yes Love) - Partridge Family
I believe the word "Game" (not "Games") is used once in this song: Games - Redeye
And to celebrate the first show of AT40, how about this song for consideration: Tighter, Tighter - Alive & Kicking

Love in Store by Fleetwood Mac. I believe the title was never mentioned in the lyrics. Correct me if i'm wrong. They actually do mention the title. The chorus goes: I can't fight it anymore Since you've been around We've got Love In Store Never take your love away Beggin' you, baby Never take your love away Oh darlin' Never take your love away

Between 1997 and 2002 you had at least five songs hit number 1 without mentioning the title: "Lovefool" - The Cardigans "Iris" - Goo Goo Dolls "Jumper" - Third Eye Blind "Family Affair" - Mary J. Blige "Dilemna" - Nelly and Kelly Rowland

Chumbawamba also didn't say "Tubthumping" in that song.

Chumbawamba also didn't say "Tubthumping" in that song. It went number one as well, correct? So that would be six songs not saying the title between 1997 and 2002.

I think "Sir Duke" was only mentioned once in the lyrics to Stevie Wonder's song "Sir Duke". "There's Basie, Miller, Satchmo, and the king of all, Sir Duke" - only time it's sung I believe...
