I Wish by the great Stevie Wonder would be politically incorrect today:
Was a little nappy headed boy To hang out with those hoodlum friends of mine

How about "Living For The City" by Stevie Wonder? AT40 played the album version a few times but it's been cleaned up for the re-airings.

Big Shot by Billy Joel on Casey Kasem's American Top 40 - The 70's from March 17th, 1979... But don't come bichin' to me, the b-word is censored with a blank! I think it's been changed to "itchin'." And "Push It" has the p-word in it.

Not sure if Joe Tex amazing...'Aint Gonna Bump with no big, fat woman' would pass political correctness today.

I don't believe anyone mentioned Lou Reed's "Walk On The Wild Side"

That was nothing compared to their #2 hit in 1981, "Start Me Up", especially with lyrics like these... You, you make a dead man cum You, you make a dead man cum True, but at least that line was at the end of the song, so stations could always do an early fade out--and, as I remember, many did! Not anymore, it's been back for quite a few years now in all its glory.

What about "It's Escatacy When You Lay Down Next to Me" by Barry White and "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" by the Geto Boys. Both these AT40 entries mostly got only 1:30 minute played!

How about the "tongue in cheek" classic from 1977-"Cat Scratch Fever" by Ted Nugent?

I mentioned this years ago on a different thread, but if you are listening to the shows from around this time period of 1988, AT 40 edited the words "fun and" in the song "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" by Samantha Fox. I guess they thought she was dropping an "F" bomb. It's the only time I can can remember on AT 40 that they edited a song because they thought they heard something.

In Who/Elt's Pinball Wizard it refers to 'that deaf, dumb, and blind kid'... today, boy oh boy!

In the MeToo era I don’t know if some songs would be acceptable. I’m thinking of songs like “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen or I’m surprised no one mentioned “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC (“She told me to c** but I was already there”) or any song by Prince like “Little Red Corvette” or Madonna’s “Like A Prayer” (“I’m down on my knees, I want to take you there”), “Justify My Love” and “Dress You Up”.
“She Bop” by Cyndi Lauper
“Sugar Walls” by Sheena Easton
“Relax” by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
“I Touch Myself” by The Divinyls
“Closer” by Nine Inch Nails
“Erotica” by Madonna

Since you mentioned “Fat Bottomed Girls”, I’ll add Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” as a similarly themed song that gets replayed a lot despite radio resistance originally (it only hit #13 in Radio & Records despite being #1 on the Hot 100 due to massive sales.) NIN’s “Closer” never got much pop radio play to start with, but was (is?) popular at rock and alternative radio.
