Here's an odd one: the bridge on Twisted Sister's "We're not Gonna Take It" is very similar to the one on the Honeycombs' "Have I the Right?"

The first time I heard the recent hit "Human" by Rag-N-Bone Man, I thought it sounded very much like "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, especially the verses.

How about the same *notes* in two very different artists' very different songs? About 15 years ago, I realized that the guitar riff heard in the chorus of Sunglasses at Night is just like the guitar riff heard in Beat It.

About 15 years ago, I realized that the guitar riff heard in the chorus of Sunglasses at Night is just like the guitar riff heard in Beat It. That's true, but pay close attention to Beat It. It has two slightly different riffs. You're thinking of the riff that opens the instrumental break, just before Eddie's iconic solo.

After hearing the Bee Gees' "The Woman In You" on this week's 6-11-83 show, it reminded me of "Who Loves You" by The Four Seasons from 1975. I was on Spotify a couple days ago, and ran across The Tubes' 1981 hit "Don't Want To Wait Anymore" which featured vocals by Bill Champlin, and it was produced by David Foster. Definitely 80's Chicago esq since each of those men played key roles in the resurrection of Chicago in the 1980s. I consider that song to be a pre-quel to "Hard Habit To Break."

While listening to this week's '80's countdown from 6-11-83, I noticed that the Flock Of Seagulls' song "Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You)" has an almost identical melody line as the one found in "A Love Bizarre" by Sheila E.

After hearing the 6-5-76 show this past weekend, the Boz Scaggs song "It's Over" reminded me of a Beach Boys song from 1968 called "Darlin"

After hearing the Bee Gees' "The Woman In You" on this week's 6-11-83 show, it reminded me of "Who Loves You" by The Four Seasons from 1975. I picked up on that similarity many years ago when I'd keep hearing the instrumental bridge of the Four Seasons song and think it was the Bee Gees. Eventually, I came to realize that nobody plays that Bee Gees song anymore.

After hearing Stevie Nicks's "After The Glitter Fades" on this week's 6-19-82 show, I thought it sounded like Elton John's "I Feel Like A Bullet (In The Gun Of Robert Ford)" which was the B-side to "Grow Some Funk Of Your Own" from early 1976.

I've long thought that "Sky High" by Jigsaw sounded like Paul McCartney & Wings.

I ran across a "famous 40" from 1985. It was Kenny Loggins' "Forever". I thought it kind of sounded like "The Price Of Love" by Bad English from early 1990.

After hearing "Summer" by War as an AT40 extra on last week's 7-17-76 show, I discovered that it almost has the same bass line as Hootie & The Blowfish's 1997 hit "I Go Blind". That song was actually a cover of the Canadian band 54-40 from 1986.

They don't sound alike, but in some photos, David Gates and Roger Miller sure look alike.

Papa Don't Preach sounds like a knockoff of Sam Harris Sugar Don't Bite.

Toto's 1982 hit "Make Believe" sounds like John O'Bannion's 1981 hit "Love You Like I've Never Loved Before".
