In their ever changing hit definition, Alan said Escape Club's only big hit was countdown WWW. They had two other 40s including top tenner I'll Be There.

Remember, they worship Wiki, and they get all of their chart info from the artists' discography. (By the way, Pet Shop Boys' 1991 greatest-hits album was called...Discography.) But no, "Domino" never got any higher than #7 across the pond. Ugh.

Kicking off the 88 countdown, Mark Goodman states he has never heard the Tracie Spencer song “Symptoms of True Love” which entered that week at #40. I do believe he was working for MTV out in either Japan or China at the time, so that’s very likely. But Sirius XM has never aired any of the countdowns during that songs brief short run in 1988?

IIRC, mentioned in another thread, this would be the first November 1988 show aired, so it's possible this song hasn't been heard of since AT40's original airing. Admittedly, I think it's a good pop song. ETA: It may be on Rick Dees' 11/12/1988 show, which I have in my collection...but haven't listened to it in several years.

I don't recall how long the song was in the top 40, but it was only for a few weeks. And even if they have played it in a previous airing, it may have been someone other than Mark introducing it. Also, people have a tendency to forget stuff...

After some long version of Invisible Hands, maybe the 12"? Alan said the title cut from Too Low For Zero was a hit for Elt. He meant Kiss the Bride. TLFZ was never even a single and definitely never charted.

In their ever changing hit definition Alan said Jackson Browne's album produced three. Only two LIL singles reached the top 40. Then he didn't mention The Dream as a hit from Cara's album which did reach the top 40!

In her weekly chart screw up Nina said Twist of Fate was up 9. ONJ was really moving 21-32. Then she said Bonnie Tyler would have a biggie with her cover of Air Supply's countdown song. That version of 'Making Love never charted on the Hot 100.

Mark said Delirious was PR Nelson's followup to Little Red Corvette. Of course that honor went to the rereleased 1999.
