Strike two for Alan as he just called Daryl Hall's first solo hit "Dreamin'" instead of "Dreamtime."

Alan Blunder wasted no time with that one.

Nina just said "Be My Little Baby" instead of just "Be My Baby" while intro'ing "Take Me Home Tonight."

^^Yep, another "That's how the lyrics go even though it wasn't the exact title" situation. In this case, the lyrics for "Be My Baby" have both "Be My Baby" and "Be My Little Baby" in its chorus.
Plus, anyone noticed that "For Tonight" was mis-classified as (82) on the previous countdown it appeared on (the one for January 17, 1987)? On this week's countdown, this was corrected; there is now an (86) at the end of it on the display.

Speaking of classifications, the (87) for "All I Wanted" is not there anymore.

During the outro for "C'est La Vie", Mark stated that Robbie Nevil would write music for the High School Musical "television show". High School Musical was actually a series of TV films.
Also, Nina stated during the intro for "Word Up!" that Cameo formed under the name The New York City Players in the "early '70s". Last time I checked, 1974 was actually mid '70s.

Mark with the error to kick off 1988. Called Sam Fox hit "I Just Wanna Have Some Fun."

Alan just said that "Silhouette" peaked at number 8 when it actually peaked 5 notches lower, at 13. It was actually the album also titled "Silhouette" that went to number 8 on the album chart.

Mark with another goof. He called the 1988 Bon Jovi album "Bad Medicine " instead of New Jersey!

I was listening to the early part of the VJ countdown this morning while driving to work and I could swear I heard Nina say that Roll With It was Steve Winwood's DEBUT solo album. Uh, has she forgotten about Arc Of A Diver from seven years earlier (or even Back In The High Life)? Good Grief!

I took a really close listen to this, and Nina really did say " fifth solo album", not "first solo album".

Not sure if this should count as an error, but Mark described "My Prerogative", during the outro for it, as "Bobby Brown's response to all the bad press he had when he left 'the group'", while not mentioning the name of said group (Hint: It has the initials "N.E.").

Nina just said "The Boys of Summer" moved up three spots when it just moved up two.

Nina stated that "I Want to Know What Love Is" "took a nine-spot leap" to #21. That leap was actually 11 spots (32-21).
