Another UK singles chart trivia. Justin Bieber´s newest album ( in fact all the tracks or albums cuts, separatelly ) are this week inside the Official Top 100 UK singles chart. Inside the Top 40 area, Bieber has 8 singles from that album and inside the Top 5 zone, three of them, including the newest number 1 this week, Sorry. This is not about that act, this is about all what has been beaten in the UK charts, since The Beatles and Lennon´s achivements ... www.officialcharts.com/charts/singles-chart/And One Direction is not less. Maybe people love buying individual tunes rather than whole albums...

Drake´s Once Dance is number 1 for the 13th week in a row in the official UK Top 40 chart ( singles chart).
Today the UK single chart on a Friday is one year old.

BBC Radio 1 has the official chart, based on The Official Charts Company data base. It is on Fridays 11.00 EST. GBC Radio Gibraltar has the same official chart on Sundays 10.00 EST. It is easy to google those stations. On demand: Radio Gibraltar Chart Show ( Official UK Top 40) , updated weekly not in a regular basis: www.gbc.gi/radio/programmes/chart-show-42

On demand: Radio Gibraltar Chart Show ( Official UK Top 40) , updated weekly not in a regular basis: www.gbc.gi/radio/programmes/chart-show-42I listened to the UK Top 40 shortly after this post on the web address provided. The countdown at that time was for the week posted on 04/29/16 (about 10 weeks old at the time). I checked a couple of times between then and now, and the April countdown was still the one that was available. I checked again this afternoon and they have updated the countdown to the one posted 08/12/16 (which is current). They play about 2.5 to 3 minutes of each song in the Top 40 so the whole countdown show takes just under two hours to listen to if you listen to each song. It is easy to skip songs so I skipped most of the US songs by artists like Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Drake, Justin Bieber, Adele, etc. and got through the countdown in about 1 hour and 10 minutes, (listening to UK songs I wasn't familiar with.) I will check back again in about a month and see if the show has been updated.

I listened to it this afternoon. It is for the week starting 11/04/16, which is the current chart. Listening to the whole chart would take just short of 2 hours, but I only listened to about 60% of the chart because about 40% of the songs are played regularly on US stations. It is easy to skip the songs you don't like or songs you are familiar with.
