Apparently, after checking the AT40 website, "Die Young" isn't dead yet. It was at #27 the week ending March 23. The way it's been inching down the chart as of lately, I can safely bet that it will still be on the top 40 for at least the first weekend of April.
It is, however, surprising that Rihanna's "Diamonds" is very close to dropping off the top 40. I'd say Rihanna's song will be lucky enough to spend one more week on AT40 before it's gone.
And btw, I don't hate the song. I do like it, as it's a bit upbeat. It's possible that it didn't do well in the state where the horrific school shooting took place last December - on my 40th birthday of all days.
This song didn't make AT40's year-end Top 40 of 2012 and judging from the 2013 year-end building chart on Mediabase, it's unlikely to make it in 2013. How often does that happen with a #1 song not making it the Top 40/100 of the year? I think it happened on Casey's Top 40 when "Blame It On The Rain" didn't make the year-end Top 40 of 1989 or the Top 100 of 1990.

I don't believe Black or White made the top 40 in 91. I know it didn't in 92 (on CT40).
