Not to be self-promoting, but I dedicated 6-7 pages in my 80s book to just the December 13, 1980 (John Lennon) program. From AT40 documents to fan comments to transcribed portions and an overall descriptive summary of the program, I believe the story is fairly presented. Perhaps someone who has a copy can offer additional perspective.
