Emphasis added in bold by me... It's worse if you live in a market with multiple stations, because then it becomes an arms race.... Last year our competitor flipped on 11/15, so this year we are beating them to the punch by going all Xmas on the 12th. lasvegaskid... Do you want to say what station you work for? I would be interested in listening to your station online since you post here. On the other hand, if you share your station and someone from your area reads this post... maybe they might go earlier than November 12 for Christmas music since you leaked it here . You can send me a private message with the station name if that's better for you. WNIC/100.3 here in Detroit has gone all-Christmas as early as November 1 but last year, they waited until the second Friday of November to go all-Christmas... which would be the same date as your station this year.

Believe it or not, most people would rather hear Christmas in mid November than at 12:05am on 12/26. There is a reason 99% of all-Christmas stations flip back at midnight on that date. If it made ratings sense to keep the format, they would.

Because the 7 people listening to the radio that night are good with normal music for a few more hours.

Will most of the I-Heart Radio stations flip to Christmas music during November?

It's in mid November KOOL 108 Twin Cities, Minnesota and 3WS FM Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania drop the AT40 shows for Christmas music.

Recent history suggests KOOL 108 will flip at 5:00 PM CST on Friday, November 16th, which is the Friday before Thanksgiving. So the weekend of 11/10 will be the final weekend AT40 will be broadcast until Christmas passes.

It's not a AT40 affiliate, but WDQN in Du Quoin, IL is the first station to make the Christmas switch.

Wait until Halloween is over and then at midnight on November 1st you can play Christmas music for the next two months (gag me). Who is even thinking about Christmas now?

I saw the new Halloween today at the theatre. I cannot imagine saying “Yeah that was awesome watching Michael Myers and Laurie fight again! Now I’m in such a Christmas mood, lets listen to Deck the Halls.”

Has Band Aid's 'Do they know it's Christmas?' been part of the Christmas music? Somebody let me know.

Is that in the theatre as one of those classic presentations now?

Now I’m in such a Christmas mood, lets listen to Deck the Halls.” Now that’s a movie I want to see (that and Bohemian Rhapsody). I love scary movies, I love Halloween, both the movie and holiday and I’m not even ready for Halloween (the holiday obviously), let alone the holiday season. I don’t even want to think about the holidays right now.
