Premiere offered four different shows last week. That means there were four #2 songs: Ride Like The Wind Looking For A New Love I Gotcha Right Back Where We Started From
None of them went to #1.

Yessir! No idea what the optional extras were back then (can't find a listing anywhere--wondering if anyone has a record of those?), but they will of course be all new.

Premiere offered four different shows last week. That means there were four #2 songs: Ride Like The Wind Looking For A New Love I Gotcha Right Back Where We Started From None of them went to #1. Another coincidence - the two songs from the 1970s spent two weeks in the runner-up position. The two from the eighties spent four weeks up there.

WWIS replaying last week's 1980 show! I had a little trouble getting my Internet to work, and when it finally worked, I heard "Another Brick In The Wall" playing and I was thinking, well darn, they must not have gotten the new show loaded into the computer. Oh well, at least 1980 was a pretty decent year in music.

I have the link to last week’s 1987 “B” show which I missed last week due to wanting to hear 1980. So I will hear that today.

I contacted WWIS and they indicated that there’s a problem with the download of this week’s show. Once it’s corrected, the 5-7-83 show will be joined in progress.

^I could have sworn that I hadn't heard those songs. While it's true I was really into the game I was playing (Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker on my GameCube), I would have vaguely remembered hearing them.
As a result of the skip, they're back with the 1980 show (though at #2, instead of in the middle of Hour 4 - such as back at #5 or so (as it is 4:32 as I post this)

Elton John´s "I´m Still Standing" is one of this week´s extras. As part of his farewell tour "Farewell Yellow Brick Road", which was scheduled to run for three years and started last year, the singer wants to say goodbye to his 50 year career on tour with around 300 planned appearances on all continents. A few days ago, the 72-year-old pop icon gave a guest performance for two evenings in the Vienna Stadthalle:

Interesting that the #1 and #2 songs in this week's countdown were both parodied by Wierd Al.....
