Does anyone know which show that WODC will air Sunday Morning? 1986 or 1978? Mike Eiland told me they will air 1986.

WWIS ended before 5 PM central. I guess they can't find any more sponsors to take 'em to the top of the hour. Another factor which may or may not apply: In December I believe that WWIS' AM sign-off time is 4:45. They may want to get the show finished early for their local coverage area listeners.

WTOJ currently airing 1986 top 100
Looks like Ken might be playing all 8 hours today....similar to the schedule for the 1972 & 1978 Year Enders only on WTOJ

I have to choose an 80's year end countdown to run next weekend now. Again, it will start at 11 AM on Saturday. Any suggestions for which year?

What if you made a year end countdown for 1988 of the songs ranked from Casey AT40 shows of January 1988 to August 6, 1988?

Might be too short notice for you to construct a Casey hosted Top 100 of 1988 but the thought is wildly enticing.

WLS 94.7 FM Chicago is now playing the top 100 of 1986 part 1 this morning. Part 2 of the top 100 is the next week, of course.
Regarding #89 for 1986 ("Walk This Way" by Run D.M.C.), did you like Casey's rap intro to that track? I remember in 1990 on a Casey's Top 40 episode when the controversial "The Humpty Dance" by Digital Underground was on the R&R CHR/pop chart used by CT40 (where meanwhile elsewhere on then hosted by Shadoe Stevens AT40 only a minute-ish of it was played each time!) CT40 guest host Mark Elliott did a rap outro to it, maybe nursery rhyme style?
And I didn't know when Paul McCartney made the 1986 AT40 year ender for 1986 he had 100 top 40 hits (That includes his Beatles hits), even Elvis Presley made the 100 top 40 song mark!

A few people have suggested 1985. That would be a great choice, as that year was possibly THE most defining year of the 1980s. 1981 and 1987 would be good as well, since I'm working on updating my chart critiques for the year-enders (so they'll all be in "2015 mode") and those are the only three years left.

Ironically, "The Humpty Dance" was a WODC extra in hour 1. I wonder if Mike Eiland put that there or was it a coincidence ?

Does anyone know if any station is playing the entire Top 100 of 1986 today? How about on New Years Eve (Monday)?
